"The Thrill of Victory?..or The Agony of Defeat"- 'You Choose...'

Like many, I watched the 'Super Bowl'.
(okay, fine..mostly the commercials, while chatting with some girlfriends, while the men and a few amazing girls watched the actual game).
But still, it was almost unbearable to watch the scene unfold and the eventual demise of an amazingly talented team.

No one knew,
who would actually win or lose...at first,
but it became apparent as the minutes and seconds ticked down to the finish.
In the wake of the victory over the losing team, I have noted a lot of reaction.
Some were jubilant, while others were simply disgusted, as is often true when emotions run high and your heart gets involved.

I'm sure the logical character,  Mr. Spock from the 1960's Star Trek series would find it all "fascinating", as do I.
But when the heart and emotions get involved,  it really is fascinating how we take personal ownership of "our" teams...or whatever it is that pulls at our hearts.
I think the depth of emotions underlines the statement..
'There's strength in numbers!' 

When you rally behind someone or something there is an inevitable force.
The challenge is being able to separate ourselves
from that force into the forcing questions
which ultimately matter more in this life.

The most interesting and compelling reaction I witnessed was this little segment that someone filmed of a handful of men, before the game when they were asked a single question.

Regardless of your thoughts or reactions to Super Bowl  2014.
We would all do well ..to ask ourselves this same heart felt question. Whether you are jubilant or devastated...over last night's game or even over the place in this life where you may find yourself.

Victory is within reach.

You may also find it fascinating just where this unique group of men
found victory greater than the thrill of a Super Bowl success.

"Moving Past the Shadows" (revised)


Proverbs 3:3
"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart."


Dear Friends


I want you to know...
I absolutely and positively believe God truly is bringing you into a spacious place...
He is your Deliverer.....

He has rescued you and He will be absolutely delighted to watch as He brings you into HIS plan,

Do not try and open His gift before He brings it...Enjoy the moment of wondering How wonderful and faithful He will be.

To think you are forsaken, and forgotten is a lie from the pit...Do not entertain it...You have never been abandoned...

Rise up...


Look to the only One who can rescue you from the cycle of sadness and defeat...

It is more than okay..to cry, weep, and mourn,..
But let joy come in the morning..


It's okay to move 'through' the pain to the very sunlight, that casts the shadows.

Hold dearly to the One who can save you...
You are loved, you are treasured,....

Ephesisans 3:20
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."


'immeasurably more, according to the power'


This means He Has IMMEASURABLY MORE' for us than we ever dreamed to ask...
According to the Power that Is at work within us...

You will be better than where you are, right this moment...

When you are ready,
He will hand you His Gift...but you must seek Him...

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11-13

List out what you are thankful for...
This lays the foundation for a ready heart..for what He is about to reveal...
But you gotta look UP, or you will become like the Israelites, led by Moses, who were searching for the Promised Land.
They wandered for 40 years because of their rebellion and lack of faith 
for a land that was an 11 day journey away.

Your promised land is closer than you know...seek His ways and believe..
