This One Thing

I don't think there is a perfect 'formula' for getting our prayers answered..because in the end, it is His Grace that answers prayers...
and even when He is quiet, it doesn't mean He is not moving...

He is always there and responsive.

We are often afraid He isn't answering because we are often looking to everything and everyone else to tell us what we want to hear.

We have drifted far from Him.

And for some, we see Him as this distant 'God' who couldn't possibly care for us anyway, even if, He were there. .

However, the more we seek Him, the easier it is to see..that He Is, and He takes great delight in our seeking.

The scriptures ring true; 'when we honestly seek Him..He will be found'... (Jeremiah 29:11-13 in part)

If we simply are honest with Him and look for Him in the quietness..then just maybe we'll be still enough to hear Him and know,.......

He always answers....

Like every good Father,...sometimes he says 'no'...but He is perfect, and it is always for our good and His Glory...even if he says 'wait'...

For I truly believe there is no such thing as 'unanswered' prayer.

Somehow, I think that just by being in His Presence, we learn to love and trust Him so much, that we come to understand this one thing,....

He is constantly working things together for our good...when we love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

When we begin our search for Him, we realize it is a journey of discipline and sacrifice.

We begin to understand He Is....the treasure worth finding.

If it takes a lifetime...we will begin to desire that which He desires, and ultimately realize that He is God.

He desires sweet fellowship with us, a relationship that was made possible through Jesus the Christ.

Rest easy my friends...in the words of theologian Francis Schaeffer.."He is there, and He is not silent'.
