A Miracle at Sunrise
Sometimes God brings us a special moment. and seems to say...
'See how much I love you'.
It was 12 years ago on a Sunday morning, the skies were clear blue and a crisp breeze blew past the country hillsides, welcoming Easter morning. A welcome that can only truly be appreciated by the few who venture out for the quietness and sanctity of a Sunrise service.
As I stood in a small cluster of people, praising our risen God and Savior, the reality of the moment enveloped me..And I breathed in the quiet clear moment as if it belonged to me..
It was only a second after the closing prayer, when a friend leaned to me and whispered..'look, the sun has come up during the prayer'. I quietly marveled at God's timing and noticed it was 6:56 a.m.
Later, the same morning, during our regular Sunday Service, my niece came hurrying into the building. She had just received a call from my 39 year old sister, who had just given birth, that incredible morning to a healthy baby boy. He had arrived 2 and 1/2 weeks early, to everyones delight in our home state of Pennsylvania. My very sister, who was told by Doctors at a young age that she would never bare children, had given birth to her first and only baby at 6:56.a.m. on Resurrection morning.
And somehow, my God had allowed my heart to be a part of the miraculous event, the miracle at sunrise...and the sun arose on that fair and crisp Easter morning...in a small town in Kentucky..
