I would like to share with you a post from two years ago...along with information from this year.
Last year, I felt a great deal of frustration, regarding Google's homepage. Here is what I wrote...
Here is some alliteration for you...
Google really gets my goat !!!....
I signed on to the computer this morning, as many people do on a daily basis..I have 'Google' set as my home page, because it is generally a pretty good search engine.
Often the writers behind 'Google' will change the name to reflect an event, birthday or celebration,
or whatever they feel is worth taking note of,...on that particular day.
Today, they are celebrating the birthday of the "drive-in' movie !!!! I remember the good ole drive-in...but worth sharing this with millions upon millions, as a day to remember....today of all days...Well, that is where I have serious issues...
And I did, I wrote...you read and shared.
However, I am happy to report, this year, they have posted these words below their trademark name.
Remembering D-Day: explore letters, photos, and maps of the Normandy landings
It was refreshing to see the acknowledgement, of an iconic time an American history.
And I give them credit, for choosing to remember.
Last year, I wrote my thoughts...on a time that should forever remain in our hearts.
I hope that you will continue to recall with a grateful heart, a time that should never be forgotten.
"Today is June 6th. This date is significant in America's history.
This date is significant to the world."

"D-Day was one of the pivotal events of World War II. American and Allied forces invaded France at Normandy on June 6, 1944.
Before the invasion began on D-Day, General Eisenhower summed up the mission of the Allied forces by saying,
"You are about to embark upon the great crusade toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you...I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle."
~General Dwight D. Eisenhower giving the D-Day order on June 6, 1944
"You will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world. Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped, and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely....The free men of the world are marching together to victory. I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory. Good luck, and let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking."
While, I realize this blog has been attracting readers from all over the world.
I submit to you, that all men everywhere have been created for a designed and mighty purpose.
Some have used their freedom for the ultimate good.
Some have chosen the path of evil and complacency, regardless of the place you call home.
It should matter to each of us that an empire like Google chooses ( has chosen) on a regular basis to ignore the truly historical and life changing events of this world.
It is in these small things to which we will be held accountable, regardless of our nationality.
I leave you with one final quote...
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
(Edmund Burke)
Remember this day today, by choosing to honor those men and women who have given every ounce of their lives for the cause of freedom. Today is not merely about the birthday of the drive in theater...
It is "significantly" about the day that shall always be remembered as D-Day, a day that set man on a course of action, thus changing even the smallest of moments for all of mankind.
It is your small contribution, to live a life of gratitude, and to remember our history as it must be remembered!!!,
It is then, we are contributing to our future generations and perhaps altering their course,
towards the reality that we will each have to ultimately live with.
I encourage you to share this blog with others regardless of who you are.

God bless you.
