Revelation 22:1-2, 17
"And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life....
And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!'
And let him who hears say, 'Come!'
And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely."
Isn't it funny, that on a hot, hot day...only water will satisfy...Anything that is sugared down, just doesn't quench our thirst...in fact, it only leaves us thirstier!!
As I came across this scripture...I felt amazingly refreshed after reading it..
Sometimes, we forget that this life is but a shadow...of eternity. We get caught up in the players and the scenes as they unfold..into some real drama !! We forget that there is but one author to the play...
We forget that he is willing and able to 'rewrite' our story when we need it most...
He has 'carefully' written out your life,....
Jeremiah 29:11-14a
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity."
When you decide to take of the water freely.. the ending will astound you...
Decide today...to release your story to the One who has written your name upon His heart. You can trust Him with the ending...
He is the amazing 'author and finisher of your faith'. (Hebrews 12:2)
