'Never Giving Up at the Smithsonian'

Several years ago, my husband (Bob) and I traveled to Washington D.C. and spent some time at the Smithsonian Institute. We visited an area showcasing art worthy of being placed in this special place.

I found myself wondering ...How??...some pieces had 'ever' crossed over into what one would consider a 'work of art.'.
Honestly, I told Bob that I was pretty certain, he could easily weld a few pieces from the garage and gain his own acceptance into the Institute. (not likely, but it sure seemed probable at the time)
Someone, somewhere had decided to take their artistic ability, their time (and 'possibly' stuff from their garage) and have gained a place in American History...Quite an accomplishment !!...

Moments build upon themselves...and call themselves our lives..
We have the opportunity to live a life of redemption..
or a life filled with regret..
A life filled with creativity...or a life filled with lost thoughts and wasted time.

Moments can be redeemed...or they can be wasted....
I am guilty of both..aren't we all?

Sometimes our memories of yesterday are as close as a heartbeat...and yet an ocean of time, separates us from who we once were.
From the beginning of time..the very core of who we are has been planned.
(see Psalm 139)
These thoughts can bring comfort when life seems so insulting.
It is in the rush of these moments that we must stop!!...and simply become very aware....

We are not out here on our own.
We are not a random force of elements living without a plan.
We have a Creator...who repeatedly breathes life into us...

When we love Him first, He works all things out for our good and His purpose.
Sometimes the bad things in life cast deep and foreboding shadows over His Purpose for us,
but I believe God is in the business of redeeming and restoring...

The guy who created something for the Smithsonian..took junk around him and created a masterpiece worthy of recognition.

God is willing to do the very same thing for each of us..If we will but let Him...
Refuse to allow one more moment to slip through your grasp. If you have a dream...go after it !!
Let God be the One who restores you. Follow closely to the very One who enables you to dream..

Think for a moment...what lies rusting in your old garage...maybe a singing voice or a talent for encouragement, an invention, a career path...
Whatever it is...remember that God created you for a purpose...
At His side...It is never too late to realize a dream..even if all you ever do..... is pursue it..
You can always know,..... that at least you tried.

Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
