I remember being part of a Beth Moore Bible Study, several years ago. Interesting isn't it, how certain things stay with you?
She spoke something and God brought it to life in my heart.
The statement went something like this...
'You can learn life's lessons through studying God's Word or you can let Him teach you through circumstance'...and she said...'I don't know about you, but I would rather be taught with the Word..'
That thought has stayed with me, even now several years removed from that time.
I know people who will think that if God teaches through circumstance then God must be punishing them. That is actually so far from the way He operates.
When He teaches through circumstance...
He,.... who will never force Himself on us, will sadly allow us,... to choose the chaos.
But His desire (especially when we cry out to Him)
..is for us to not live in that chaos even for a moment, let alone for our entire life.
Alot of what we are experiencing is a result of our own decisions that led us away from Him and His ways.
If you are going through difficulty, remember, it may take time to undo some of your life's choices. Some may not be fixable in some sense, but do not lose heart,... because God will... work with willing hearts...
Every single decision can be redeemed to make something right and beautiful. So don't give up.
Life does come at you fast, so get the playbook!!! If you don't understand what you are reading. Find a life group or Bible study that can help you understand.
You can play without it, but if you continue running the wrong way, you are likely to get injured. (again).
