"Expectations"

I am one of those people who likes 'any' time of the day. It may have come from 20 plus years of flying. Always up at odd hours or staying awake for 'duty days' that easily crossed several time lines and added quickly into 14 and 16 hours on duty.

We all have a story, that's for sure !!!

Either way, I love getting up in the morning and feeling the freshness of a new day...that first cup of coffee..the day untouched and just waiting....

This morning...I started to think about 'expectations and cares'.
Our lives are naturally filled with both.
And, I began thinking about all the things on my to-do list. It can get overwhelming, can't it?
At the end of the day...sometimes I measure success by what 'I' accomplish.

I am trying to break this habit. And, I am remembering, that..
'with God all things are possible' Matthew 19:26

In the middle of all this thinking...another amazing verse 'popped' into my mind.

"In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Psalm 5:3

I realized again, that today is a day....measured by God...

We have a choice to let Him lead. Success is not always measured by the standards that we place upon ourselves.
He measures success by how willing we are to humbly say...'what now Lord',?? 'where to Lord'??

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time."

Let's give Him this day...and when we lay our heads down to sleep...Allow the God who has measured eternity...be the One who measures your day.

Let Him accomplish what He will...

"But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me." Micah 7:7
