"Aging Gracefully..." 2222222222222222

"Even to your old age and gray hairs
    I am He,
I am He who will sustain you.
I have made you
and I will carry you;
    I will sustain you
and I will rescue you."
(from the prophet) Isaiah 46:4

I can see my reflection in the computer screen....
A little older than I think I ought to be...
Yet, thankful to be where I am...

Fine lines are forming in the corners of my eyes...

Some refer to these "lines" as crows feet...
("Who" ever in the world thought of that ???)
I choose to call them "laugh lines"!!!
Seems a bit gentler, especially since I own them.

For some reason, it has never bothered me too much to age...

When I turned 30, I headed to the Grand Canyon!!!
At 40, I threw a Big Party!!!
Who knows, what I'll do at 50......But, I am determined to make it special...I mean why not...

I don't think we should ever regret growing older...It really is an honor to age...and even better, if we can figure a way to do it gracefully...

Let's face it, we all know and endure grumpy people; those miserable old codgers who can find a little bit of something wrong with a lot of everything!!!...The flip side of the coin are the gentler sort, who can chuckle their way through and find the good in those around them...

I always say we are practicing now, for who we will be then....
And, if practice makes perfect, then I hope to be perfectly content, gliding gracefully into my golden years.

When I start to falter and get a little nervous about the years to come...
When the snow falls and the seasons change yet again.......
I will remember those words from the prophet Isaiah as written above......
