Every now and then, I realize, how quickly life has been slipping past.
Today, I would like to share something from November. It slowed me down, this morning......
I found time to simply breathe,
when I stopped long enough to listen.
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." Genesis 2:7
Sometimes,..it seems that when I first awaken..I find myself listening for the voice of God...Sounds a little lofty, at first..
But, when you stop and remember Who He is, and who we are
(along with what He has done for us)..."lofty" slips quietly away, and becomes a possibility..
In our frailness, we remember we are but dust...driven like the wind.
Yet, it is from that very dust...that scripture speaks of our beginning...
And from that dusty place...the Spirit moved and breathed life into man...
Call it the Big Bang, call it whatever you want...But, here we are...contemplating His Voice...
WE are the created ones...never the Creator...
Hoping beyond hope that we might hear from something or Someone... beyond where we are..
Holding the history of words...inspired by God and penned by man,
we find the 'Someone'
we find our source...
we find our hope...
we find Who He is...and...
we find that we have indeed heard from Him..
We can listen to the voice of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The same Spirit which breathed life into the dust, when the earth was formless and without void, was kind enough.....to leave a written account, from which we can learn and thrive
in the otherwise immposible...
a perfectly broken world ; and yet a perfectly redeemed world...
We live in a place where we can joyfully anticipate hearing
from the very One who made us in His image.
As lofty slips quietly into a possibility...
Find yourself reaching for the 'Word of The Living One' (your Bible)...
For it is in that place, where you will find,...that you can truly hear the voice of God..
Amen, beautifully said.
