"A Feeding Frenzy"

It was impulsive and I knew it

I headed to the grocery store..I was stressed and I was hungry.

A bad combination !!!

I was going for one item , but in the back of my mind.. a plan was brewing..

A self indulgent moment and I didn't care.

I had just enough sense left in me to grab the smaller cart.

(Good thing)

On my way out of the store, I passed the 'quite intentionally' placed--'Batty McFatty' aisle.

I grabbed potato chips, nacho chips and dips to match and double stuffed cookies for good measure!!!

And then to make matters worse..I paid with the emergency  credit card!!!
It wasn't an emergency....but it seemed so important.  And I didn't want to 'mess up' our checking account 

on the budget I hadn't done!!!!

And I wonder why I've been stressed!!!

I'm not always like this..most of the time..I shop the outside of the store for fresh foods.  (I even purchase cookies here and there.. but within balance).

I am careful to spend wisely.  I shop with purpose and coupons, instead of the wildly popular feeding frenzy method.

Dr. Phil..likes to ask "how's that working for you?"

Well I'll tell you--it's not...!!!

Empty calories and an empty wallet does not yield peace.

It's time to get a plan and stick with the plan!!!

I'm fairly certain I'm not alone in this.

How is it working for "you"?

The next time we are tempted use retail therapy to find healing..lets remember these things.

You can't fix the broken areas without first looking inside at what's broken.

Only God knows what makes you tick!!!

Talk to Him

He is right here with you!!!

He has a plan for your life..

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, 

“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 

I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity......"

Jeremiah 29:11-14a

If you want to be healthy--determine to eat healthy and exercise!

If you want to be financially strong, stop making excuses.

Get out pen and paper write it out!!!

Get a plan and determine now that financial freedom is within your reach!!

If you look at all of this and think 

It's too hard...or too late!!

Remember..you don't have to go it alone!!!...he is willing to 'bring you back from captivity'

When you call out to Him...

He's ready with a real plan and a healthy dose of life yielding peace!!!
