"When Time Sparkles"

"Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name." Isaiah 40:26a

The stars sparkled against the backdrop of the black night sky.

Sitting around the bonfire, we watched the burning embers crackle and float aimlessly towards space. I sat cozily in a lawn chair with some of my dearest friends chatting quietly, as we deepened our friendships.

Outside the circle, the guys were standing and carrying on, as only men can find entertaining.
The dogs played; some were running carefree,
while others with tails wagging and slapping against our legs,
sat close by hoping to catch leftover smores or whatever might come their way.
Children were laughing and literally 'howling' into the night.
True country living.....

It cannot be captured in a bottle or sold in the stores.

Times that we hold dear, are just so often like that.

Ordinary moments transformed by love and friendship into treasured memories
and they almost always involve laughter and sometimes even a tear or two.

It is that indescribable moment when you "stop" long enough....
to look around and breathe, maybe for the first time in a long time....

Every single day offers moments like these.
The difference is in the knowing...

As this week unfolds...look for the extraordinary in the ordinary..
that moment in time that sparkles against the backdrop of an 'ordinary' day.

"Capture it in your heart"...and when the cares of life threaten to overwhelm,
'just breathe'
..allow your eyes to float toward heaven and remember the times that have nourished your soul.

"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you "Jeremiah 32:7

    1. Have a good week Denise, I know life can be hard, especially with all that it is handing you, but
"be of good cheer, greater is HE that is in you, than 'he' that is in this world".
You ARE created for a finer purpose, remember that..<3
