I saw it on the news.
I knew the name.
I watched her grow up.
Her dad was a deacon at church...her mom a Sunday school teacher.
I loved spending time with their beautiful family.
Shock was soon followed by disbelief.
How did this beautiful little girl grow up and turn to drugs, when she had everything going for her?
Everything but that one thing she needed.

Then there was him, a young man in his thirties-he had lived a life filled with an abusive father,
a beaten down mother and recreational marijuana intended to ease harsh realities....
His life could have been different-but wasn't.
He turned to alcohol and then cocaine.
The abusiveness he had lived with soon became his paper lifeline as he struggled to find self worth.
He knew the man he wished he could be..but feared he would never be good enough to become him.
Something was missing.

A common thread woven throughout two separate stories....
A lost piece of the puzzle...

So where do we look to find answers to all of these missing and broken parts?
Surely there is an invisible thread that connects our own puzzle pieces to the master plan...something that will pull them into the light of day; lost no longer.

In Luke 15:8-10
We see a beautiful story of worth.

when we walk with Him...seek His face and His presence and not just His Hand, we are blessed with HIM!!!
Walking daily with Him is the true reward.
He is faithful and yes-life is very often more than we can understand. But that is His specialty. Because He won't force us to love Him-He also won't force us
not to do evil-so even though so we ultimately live in a difficult and broken world.
But we know that His Holy Spirit will comfort us through the darkest times. So when tough times come-choose to lean into Him.....after all is said and done-you won't have far to lean, if you are already walking with Him.
