9/11...

Good Morning friends,

I have a melody playing through my mind this morning...

'I have a Father, He knows me by name, even before life began, my lifes was in His Hands'

Today is the 11th anniversary of a date that will most likely, and hopefully forever be etched in our minds...

"9/11"....
We must never forget our history or we will be destined to repeat it...

And so I remember...this day..

I remember...(and I sigh)

In my career, as a flight attendant, I do not choose to 'relive' it...
But,.....I always remember,... for the sake of those who have passed........
I remember...

We flew in late last night, from the East coast ...and now, after some rest...I sit here waiting on the west coast, about to fly a bit further west..
As I am about to begin my day...
It is comforting to know that evil will not triumph in the end.
I can rest easy simply knowing that...regardless of the past, in spite of it all...
I know who is holding me.

I know He is firmly and lovingly sifting the sands of time.

And, so I step forward with confidence in the very One...who calls me His friend...
I hope you will do the same...

I hope that you will take the time to remember all those who fought valiantly that day,
from the flight attendants and pilots and passengers to the office workers, firefighters and police..and to those who are still fighting....this hidden and not so hidden agenda to destroy our freedom...

Please take time to remember...

I hope you will not feel defeated today...
I pray you will instead seek and find refuge..in the only One who can hold  your heart and His Universe together..

So, if you struggle with today...know that you have a maker...your Holy God of Israel...the Lord Jesus...He is the One...who can bring peace this day...Rest easy my friends...He is still very much on the Throne!!
