So where do we go from here??
Instant reactions are necessary,...as part of the healing and restoration of a wounded heart...
Some are jubilant, as they hold out hope for a brighter future;
Some, who are wounded...are in tears, as they recognize the stark reality they are living in...
Emotions are running wild...
Me??,...
I am thinking about the Kings of the Old Testament.
Thoughts of these men were actually, my first reaction...as the day dawned..
As I remember them..I see a pattern..
The pattern: rather simplistic in nature..
There were many bad kings..they reigned for a time..and they passed from this life.
There were many good kings...they reigned for a time ...and they passed from this life.
So, how can we tell the difference..?
Defining a 'good king as opposed to a bad'.... boiled down to this...
Those who "did evil in the sight of the Lord"....were considered evil.
Those who, walked according to His Word...were not..
Ultimately, the land was either blessed or not blessed by God..
Sometimes, when I think about the people who were under their 'reign'...
I wonder, how deeply despondent or joyful they were, when a King would take his seat on his earthly throne, ..
The joy or grief or numbness they felt, always was dependent upon their situation and their perspective..
What is your perspective ?
Are you cheering?..
Sad and discouraged???...
Apathetic??
We are a nation divided.....
In 2 Chronicles 16:9 we read..
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
Herein you have done foolishly: therefore from now on you shall have wars."
This verse has two parts..where do you fall??...and where do we go from here ??
I suggest humbly that we each,.. begin and or continue to CALL UPON THE LORD.....
We must find the narrow path and walk in it...and listen for the voice..that says
"THIS' is the way, walk in it.."
We must remember that we are crushed but Not in Despair!!!...
A spiritual battle is raging throughout this great land....and there is only One way to fight a spiritual battle...
and that is through the leading of His Spirit...
We can "rage" or "wax eloquent" about the result of the election...
or we can examine our hearts...and resolve to move forward..carefully and prayerfully into the unknown...regardless of how we voted...
We can ask ourselves...
Did I honor the Holy God of Israel in my vote ?....
while always remembering ...
God honors the heart and life that searches, for what HE values..
It is time to go deeper...than the results of an election..
There will be "wars and rumors of wars"
"change that we can believe in" !!

The Kingdoms will indeed pass away...the people and the Kings with it...
There is a line being drawn in the sand..His eyes are roaming throughout this land.
On which side will you find yourself,...when God begins to sift the hearts of man?
It is time to do our homework...
No longer should we remain apathetic toward what is happening around us...
When, as a Christian nation we begin to value what He does...
then and only then,....we will see...
"As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him" (Psalm 18:30).
