My mom taught us to keep a clean kitchen.

She always does her dishes, and has everything straightened before she lays her head down,

the night before.

A kitchen is often considered the heart of the home. I am pleased to report our kitchen is clean and the dishes are done!!!

And so, ...it does look like a beautiful day here in Kentucky!!! The temperatures are mild are the sky is blue. 

Furthermore, I am happy to say.... I am cozily at home and it is Saturday morning!!!

My husband and our dog are sleeping a little later than usual .

I am up and the kitty's are 'playing' on the screened porch, scurrying all along the edges, sometimes perching tentatively on the ledges to 'listen and study' unsuspecting birds. Kitty's all over the world are chattering and dreaming of their flying friends... and the smell of fresh coffee is drifting through the house..(ahhhh)

...It is a small slice of a nice day on the horizon...

I am thankful for this untouched day....the possibilities...
I am thankful for family, always as close as my heart
I am thankful for the sensibilities I have to enjoy the moments..

Blue skies, changing seasons, and the geese flying overhead in perfect formation...As Martha Stewart would say..."it's a good thing'...

So..a new day begins..

I think it's time time for some of that fresh ground brew.. 

After all,  the kitchen is clean and the dishes are done!!

...I should know, because I 'just' did them!!!...

Oh,...so much to learn...( thanks Mom..)
