Lately, it seems one day is running quickly into the next.
A sense of exhaustion will set in on a restless heart, just as quickly as an undirected stream will soon flow into open waters.
Exhaustion and busyness steal the sense of peace and purpose that we were created for.
Purpose is absolutely critical in our eventual success.
Very often, we can find ourselves running in different directions.
The Bible tells us that...
"A double minded man (or woman), is unstable in all his ways."- James 1:8
When I am in search of what matters most, I have found it a necessity to constantly reign in rogue thoughts that seek to present themselves as of first importance.
In order to understand a life-long purpose or the daily choices which eventually feed that purpose. We must get back to the basics.
Proverbs 29:18 clearly tells us that " where there is no vision, the people perish"..
Vision can only begin with the Giver of dreams..
When we recognize that God alone!!...has made us for greater things,
that the fog begins to clear and our course comes into focus.
It is in this defining moment that...
we must decide to walk diligently, the road set before us.
The prophet Isaiah in chapter 30: 21 leaves clear instruction..
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
'This is the way; walk in it.' "
There is a great temptation to fashion excuses..or to look behind. But in the midst of excuses we can easily miss the still small voice, prompting us toward our Maker.
HE knows you and HE alone will reveal your purpose.
"Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” – Psalm 100:3
Tired of being double-minded?
Weary of a restless heart?
Wish you knew your purpose??
Then go to the source of all good things..He knows your name, and He won't be surprised to hear from you..He's been waiting all this time to love you right back.
“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” – Psalm 138:16
Seek Him first and then, and only then you will learn your true purpose!
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well."-Matthew 6:33
