"It's So Hard To Wait"

It's easy to want what we want.
And, it is hard to wait.

Whenever we pray, sometimes we think God didn't answer,
if we don't see immediate results or we don't get what we thought we needed.

When I look back at my life.
The answers seem more obvious in hindsight.
Especially, when I remember a few different guys that I dated in my younger years.

I didn't date a lot...so inexperience was my strong point and insecurity was tattooed across my forehead
(not literally,...fortunately).

I made goofy decisions and was completely unaware,
that I was valuable in Gods' sight.
I looked to others for a sense of self worth
and stamp of approval.

There was a fortunate moment in time
when I realized, I no longer wanted to live this way.
It was at this point, that I chose to incorporate a simple little word into my life.
As a result, my life completely changed.

It wasn't until 25 years later that I looked back and could see a turning point had occurred,
because of this one simple word.
This one word caused me to flee a city and seek shelter with family
who would nurture me into the person I was created to be.

I began devoting myself to fully following Jesus. I began writing and singing...
as well as singing for weddings, funerals, and leading worship for five years in our church.
I found that I had a tremendous love for animals and teaching.
It was exciting to discover an exuberance for traveling and speaking in front of others.

When I lived in my insecurity,
I had no idea I had the capacity to be anyone other than, someones shadow.

God blessed me in ways that only He could..
He will do the same for you!!

Since the moment that I chose to yeild to this one word;
The pattern has become clear.
A simple life of "obedience" to Christ, will yield fruit unimagined!!!

God has blessed each of us with so many special attributes.
It is truly unfortunate that it takes kissing all those frogs,
before we realize our gifts.

We do ourselves well to remember
that our First Love is the only real love
that waits patiently.

And He waits only and always to bring us
into HIS best...

All the times we think He isn't answering?
Don't believe it for one second!
I am living proof !!!

Whatever it is, that you think you want,
Be willing to wait!!!

Try it His way, and soon you will be telling your own story
'of your own turning point'.

It may take a while to recognize,
but, there 'will be joy in your journey'...
Because He will ,and does bless a life,.
lived in OBEDIENCE.

"And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the rules that I am teaching you, and do them, that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you."  (Deuteronomy 4:1)
