"No Longer!!..Eccentric"

Sometimes our lives can get so jumbled
We become 'eccentric'
Literally meaning "left of center"
A bit off kilter.....

I found myself this way after a recent trip to London
It was a very special time with my family...
As life can be
The trip was filled with wonderful joy and laughter
As well as unexpected expenses and frustrating experiences..

I managed to successfully drive on the left side of the road..skimming the 'round abouts' with a clumsy agility
(if that is even possible)
Unfortunately, at one point I had pulled slowly into a gravel lot and angled the car into a small piece of wood--denting the cosmetic front bottom piece of 'plastic'...
At another moment we had pulled into a handicap space..
displayed the card my mom carries for her disability..and promptly received a ticket..(somehow they missed seeing it)

At first I was frustrated, because it all seemed to have become suddenly 'jumbled'
But then I remembered and thought again
I decided it was time to come back to center...to do exactly what I had learned in a "Living Proof" conference
And I said.."no longer"
No longer!!
will I allow room for self condemnation..for grace is mine!!!!!
It was given to me...
and to you..
a long time ago on a wooden cross..
It's time to receive it!

As I sat down on the plane to return
I longed to center myself on the only One who can bring any of us peace

I pulled out my Bible and some notes
I was reminded of the true definition of eccentric...
And most importantly I was gently driven back to center by His grace

When life seems haphazard and let's face it, sometimes it does...

We always find ourselves faced with a choice

We can live in disappointment and regret or we can fall upon His grace
And remember that ultimately we haven't disappointed Him.

When we have chosen to live under Christ...
We can trust Him to take the best of our lives and make them even better

And we can trust His Grace to use our frustration  to bring us back to center, transforming them into life giving moments that bring Him glory.

Return to center, regardless of where you are .... For that is where you will become balanced..and find His grace to stand...yet again..

John 1:16,17
"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ"
