Sometimes the 'in between'
is all we have..
We just can't feel His presence..
What we do feel...
is an utter aloneness, even in a crowd...
We are in that place
between the heartache and the promise of peace..
An emptiness within our heart...
That is inexplicably overflowing..
Because we are filled
with wondering..Filled with why....
Time alone...
seems to be the enemy...
But what often seems to be...
Is not always...
what really is.
Suspended in the lonely gap
between...
what....once was
And what will be...
Is the beautiful gift of faith..
Faith is that glimpse of freedom when we begin to believe
in what we cannot see
What we cannot feel.
Faith is that moment
that we cannot get to
without hoping
and trusting in the unknown.
When we come to the end
of who we are...
When we refuse to look to anyone else but Jesus.
We find it is here
That He begins....
It is here where faith is born.
He begins to rearrange
our puzzled and submissive heart....
When we begin to focus on Him
with a laser like intensity.
Slowly..
We begin to breathe again
And comfort is found as we immerse our mind in His Word.
We find peace, in moments of prayer.
finally understanding that we were never alone at all.
Unfolding as a flower in the spring...
we yearn for the living water to rain down upon us.
With faith, we find He is in this place...of the in between.
He walks before us, with us and after us.
He is with us....
We are never forsaken.
For every season, He is...
All that we are...all that we once were
becomes....
'His' mysterious masterpiece...
as we step
from 'knowing about Him'
Into.....
knowing HIM...
Herein lies the difference...
In the midst of the 'in between'
Choose to embrace faith in order to believe in that which has not yet appeared.
The willingness to dig deeper and go further on our journey, becomes a vehicle of freedom, fueled by faith in the lonely gap between what was and what will be.
Application:
Set your mind on Him.
Do you believe that He is working out the details....not only for His glory
But also for your good?
(Grab a pen and name your blessings)
Open your Bible and find at least one promise to call your own, commit it to memory (write it down, put it in your pocket until you carry it in your heart)
and then watch Him work in you...
His goodness.
How have you seen him working in your life when you were 'in between' jobs or relationships or when you have found your self in the desert longer than you care to remember?
Remember this....
When we resolutely choose to believe in Christ's goodness without seeing or understanding...we will be ultimately blessed with His presence as we set our mind on and purpose toward Him.
Thank you for taking the time to encourage!!! You have such a dear heart. I love being your blog sister!!
