"God See's Past The Ugly"

There are certain things I have carried around with me for years.
Things that have made me.....'me'.
Things that I have accepted.
Things,...that have not been exposed to His Light.
Certain fears, certain insecurities, certain sin to be sure...coddled with excuses.

Recently, the Lord has been laying on me the concept of "light".

He tells us through scripture that we are to be ''light in a dark world.''
But, I wonder...
How can I be a light to anyone,
unless I'm willing to expose myself to His True light?
Unless, I turn to face Him, so that I might finally reflect Him.

Oswald Chambers, in his devotional book "My Utmost For His Highest", speaks of the relinquished life.
(see March 8th)
"When he (a person), sees himself in the light of the Lord, the shame and the horror and the desperate conviction come home"-chambers'

This statement should bring us to our knees, but it should not leave us without hope. For when we determine to relinquish our lives to God...He will make us "fit for all that He requires" chambers'

 "He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" (NKJV)

Day by day, hour by hour, second by second.
We come closer to Him, by giving up control (relinquishing our rights) to Him,
( I mean honestly, did you actually think you were ever in control)

I rest much easier, and breathe more deeply, when I allow myself to come alongside Him,
When I humble myself in the beautiful pure light that pierces the dark, hidden places....
knowing full well,
that He lovingly shines His light into my soul, so that I might finally be free to shine without condemnation..

I am so very thankful, he does not see us, the way we see us!!
Sometimes, we are content to think, oh well, it's just the way I am..
It's the way I've always been...
But Praise God!!! He sees us past the ugly!!!

Here is truth...
If you are plugging along in a muddled darkness,
or if the night seems to be teasingly punctuated with bits of light...elusive and out of reach
Be ye thankful!!!...
For even and always beyond the darkness, there is Light...

And when you ask Him in, you are mercifully granted immediate access...

Ephesians 5:14
This is why it is said: 
"Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

It is not enough for us to simply, "wake up" to the fact that we have hidden and not so hidden sin.
We must rise up and relinquish all that was, little by little, day by day, again and again...

We must choose to"rise"!!!...and die daily deaths to the sin that once kept us all tangled up.

Isn't it time??? to face Him...and let Him simply love you, so that you might become who He always intended...you to be...??


Application:
How long have I been trying to do things on my own? 

Name one area that needs His light?..no more excuses..??

Find at least one scripture to call your own, write it down, keep it with you, until it is written upon your heart.


Remember:
Make it a point, to be His light in a dark world.
The world doesn't need to see you perfected,(God alone will bring you to holiness)
They need to see the heart of Jesus shining through, your imperfections.
