I looked at their faces...They looked just like me...
As I sat there reading a Forbes magazine article.
I saw smiling faces, posing for a camera....looking into the lens...
Faces of people 'looking back at me'...
who have apparently achieved 'some' form of success.
(After all, I was reading Forbes' right??)
I sometimes wonder, ...why them??..why not me???
I have wondered the same thing, when I see the homeless...
why them??...why not me???
On either end of the spectrum lay extreme examples of accomplishment!!
Barring mental challenges or inheriting great wealth..
we each have been given certain gifts...
Gifts we use to help determine our direction..
Everyone has 24 hours in a day...
We have the ability to look to the future and remember the past..
We can decide even now to live in the moment...
Daily we decide, what activities get our attention...
Why them, why not me???
Life stems from daily decisions....
Freewill is our gift...
Joshua 24:15 (In part)
......."choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve",............
The faces that look back at me, are simply there to remind me, that every soul is on a chartered course...
Who I allow to steer my ship is up to me.
What I do know, is I can't do it alone...
"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord"
