I'm not giving up...Some days I feel like it..
But I am not giving in, to........ 'the desire to give up'!
I have always thought,......
No one wants to look back at their lives and wish they would have.....
I have been flying for just over 23 years. I am starting to wonder what else might be in store...........
During that time I have been blessed beyond....(we all have, when you remember to count your blessings)
Singing has been a love since my early teen years, though I unfortunately hid my love and gift for many years. Fortunately, I was blessed with the opportunity to lead worship for about 5 years, after taking a scary chance and sharing my voice with our congregation.
Funny the things you learn as you get older.
Some lessons were a little impromptu.... singing the wrong words or losing focus and once I even showed up to lead at an early morning service with a winter sweater on inside out and backwards..
(fortunately someone loved me enough to say something, even though they laughed first...)
Working with a drama team of very talented people of all ages, was challenging and rewarding.
Drama was always fun and filled with purpose...it was just like Forest Gump's box of chocolates, you never knew what you were going to get...but it was always good in the end..
Each experience has taught me a little more about me.
Through all of it though, I realized over and over again...it was,"never about me!!"
Figuring out who you are, is so much more about the God who made you, and giving Him back the rightful gifts He alone has given you....

I think it is important to constantly be on the lookout for fresh and exciting ways to reinvent yourself.
At any rate I'm not giving up!!...
And neither should you...
Ask yourself, when did I stop dreaming??
Or like me,... maybe you haven't...
Either way, today is a new day. And you will never be the same person you were...
So, here's to...writers writing!! and dreamers dreaming...
(If it doesn't pan out...if you eat 'enough chocolate', you can always land a job 'taste testing' at the world's finest chocolatiers !!, or at least dream about it)
Here's to mighty beginnings and tremendous follow-through...one step at a time...
"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." Philippians 1:6
